International musical stars to come to Lewisville

Two gifted international musicians have teamed up to create a unique sound that is winning them fans around the world, and are coming to Lewisville with a friend.

Ben Jones and Andrea Magee are Beat Root Revival. Jones, a singer/songwriter and guitarist, is from Kent in England, and Magee, who comes from Belfast, Ireland, is a multi-instrumentalist known for her skill on the Irish bodhrán drum.

Beat Root Revival came to the United States about five years ago, and the duo is now based in Austin. The group’s sound consists of a blending of Irish melodies, including country, rock, and folk. Since arriving in Austin, they have been part of the “Pet Sounds” tour of Brian Wilson, and toured with Jonathan Jackson, The Fixx, and Brian Setzer.

Accompanying them is Pat Byrne, an Irish songwriter and singer who splits his time between County Carlow, Ireland, and Austin. His vocal technique blends the influence of Texas musicians with his Irish background.

A review of Beat Root Revival says:

“ . . . each song had meaning and passion behind it. I highly encourage you to check this band out. They are on the rise and they work very hard at what they do.”

Beat Root Revival with guest Pat Byrne will be at the MCL Grand in Lewisville on November 7, starting at 7:30 pm. Poster printing can help publicize events of this type.
