Holiday plans in Lewisville

Lewisville is planning to bring in the holidays in style.

City Hall, Wayne Ferguson Plaza, Old Town Lewisville, Poydras Plaza, and downtown businesses will be the venues for the Old Town Holiday Stroll.

Two simultaneous events kick things off. The Lewisville Morning Rotary Club is having breakfast with Santa from 8.00 am until 12.00 pm in Wayne Ferguson Plaza.

Meanwhile, at City Hall, the 22nd Annual Motorcycle Toy Run will also begin at 8.00 am. Riders will start in Old Town Lewisville, cruise through the community, and start for Maverick Harley Davidson in Carrollton, about ten miles away, at 11.30 am. Riders are asked to bring a new toy, unwrapped, with a value of at least $10. Free commemorative pins will be given to the first 300 riders to register.

Other activities include animal adoptions at Santa Paws Village on Main Street, from 9.00 am until 3.00 pm; and the Winter Carnival, petting zoo, and pony rides, all on Main Street, from 10.00 am until 5.00 pm.

There will be hay rides through Old Town, a gingerbread house competition, an Elf Scavenger Hunt, the annual Christmas Parade, and the tree lighting ceremony in Wayne Ferguson Plaza at 5.30 pm. Live music from a band on the Wayne Ferguson Plaza stage, from 10.00 pm until 11.15 pm, caps the festivities.

The date of the stroll is December 5. Flyer printing can provide schedules for events like this.
