Denton County is paying tribute to the many people and organizations who contribute to the efforts of United Way in the county.

For the eighth year, the United Way is thanking those who help in its efforts by holding the UNITED Tribute Gala. The event honors the community leaders, employees, and companies who work with the various operations of the United Way of Denton County. This year, the celebration will feature a “Dancing with Our Stars” theme, patterned after the hugely popular television show.

There are 26 stars taking part, and they have been divided into 13 teams of two. The team members are from cities and towns throughout Denton County, and are dedicating their performances to the causes they support such as ending homelessness, improving mental health services, and helping support families and children in need. Just as on the show, people will be able to vote for their favorite team by visiting the Tribute Dancers page on the event website.

The Gala is set for January 18, from 6.00 pm until 10.00 pm at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Denton Convention Center on Town Center Trail in Denton. Lewisville residents can reach Denton in a few minutes. Individual tickets, tables, and sponsorships are all available. Tickets are priced at $100. Banner printing can be used to create decorations appropriate for the venue where events like this are held.
