Houston arboretum to celebrate Arbor Day

One of the roles of the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center is to educate the public, and it has an upcoming event that will introduce everyone to the important role trees play in the human and natural worlds.

The Arboretum will be joining venues all across the country in marking Arbor Day with special activities for the public. These will be offered free of charge, and there will be some special guests on hand for the celebration.

American folk hero Johnny Appleseed will be the guest of honor for the festivities, and the guests can have their photos taken with him. There will be samples of apple cider poured for the crowd, and everyone will get a sneak peek into how bees and other pollinators keep trees healthy and happy, some even producing honey. A hike will visit a local wooded area, and the participants will discover how one tree can support lots of wildlife.

This rain-or-shine celebration of trees will welcome one and all. A flyer printing company can help to ensure a function is well attended by the local community by preparing an assortment of marketing publications.

The Houston Arboretum and Nature Center will be giving trees their due with this special Arbor Day event on Saturday, January 20. The fun will kick off at 10:00 am.
