Taylor Swift, the only woman musician to win the Album of the Year Grammy Award twice, will perform in Houston the day before Super Bowl LI, it has been confirmed.
DIRECTV has announced an all-day event leading up to the final football game of the season in February 2017, and country pop star Swift will be the headline performer. This will be her first time participating in the Super Bowl festivities.
Houston has a brand new 64,000 venue, created specifically for this event. AT&T Entertainment Group CEO John Stankey told press that the company was thrilled to have reached a multi-year deal with Swift to have her perform, bringing her talents to customers in unique and interesting ways. AT&T has created events for Big Game Weekend for 11 years, and believes that a combination of top-quality parties and best performing artists contribute it being the event it is.
Many families throughout the United States use the football game as a chance to arrange parties with friends. Some families go all out, hanging Banners and Posters in their windows.
Fans of Swift will have opportunities to get tickets to the events through promotions. Exclusive content will also be available to fans during the Big Game Weekend. AT&T has stated that it will release more details about its multiyear deal with Swift in the near future.
