Houston fundraiser supports urban farm

A November night may be well suited to huddling around a campfire, and a Houston fundraiser will offer this experience to those on its guestlist.

Fireside on the Farm will serve as a fundraising event for Finca Tres Robles, which is an urban operation located in the city’s East End. It provides community members with opportunities to get their hands dirty while they learn about agriculture and sustainability, and tickets for the activity are $75.

Attendees will be treated to a variety of fare, including s’mores with both a sweet and savory twist. Ice House Radio will supply the DJ sets, and craft cocktails, as well as wine, will be flowing. It is for those aged 21 and up, and story time around the fire and a tour of the farm are both included in the function’s three-hour runtime.

When organizing a fundraiser, planners may be in the market for branded promotional products to distribute to attendees to thank them for their support. Local Print shops will have a selection of options available at various price points.

Fireside in the Farm will show some love to one of Houston’s urban agricultural operations on Thursday, November 6. It will start at 5:30 pm at 5715 Canal Street. Tickets, as well as an option to donate to its Neighborhood Food Access Program, have been made available.
