Increasing awareness of breast cancer can be vital to helping find a cure, and a Houston establishment will be hosting an activity designed to help make that happen.
Fit for the Cure is an initiative that gives women the opportunity to access a professional bra fitting while also making a contribution to breast cancer research. It is scheduled for the Macy's branch located at 900 Memorial City Mall, and the service will be complimentary.
The program, which is a project undertaken by Wacoal, will see a donation of $5 made for each regularly priced b.tempt’d or Wacoal bra purchased. Funds raised will be given to Susan G. Komen® for its research and advocacy efforts. It may be a good opportunity for anyone wishing to restock their top drawer or get a proper fitting, and everyone is encouraged to bring along their sisters, moms, friends, and other women and make it a girls’ day out.
Creative fundraising can really pay off for a not-for-profit group and may help raise both funding and awareness. A poster printing company can prepare marketing materials to help spread the word, as well as promotional products to offer as thank-you gifts for those who contribute.
Macy’s will be partnering with Wacoal to take aim at breast cancer with this activity set for Friday, October 23. It will run throughout the day.
