A golf tournament that will help to provide service for Houston’s homeless will be teeing off later this year, and all players are welcome.
This will be the 7th year in which the Golf for Hope Tournament has been on offer. Scheduled for Gleannloch Pines Golf Club, it will open with registration and lunch, after which it will be time to hit the green.
The play will follow a four-person scramble format, and everyone can also purchase raffle tickets and bid on the donated corporate gifts and other items in the silent auction. A local dealership has generously provided the prize for the hole-in-one competition, and there will be other skills testing contests as well. The day will wrap up with dinner and an awards presentation.
Monies raised through the day will be passed along to Hope Center Houston, which offers day programming and other supports for the community's homeless. A variety of sponsorship opportunities are on offer for members of the city’s corporate community looking to lend their support.
This opportunity for Houston's golfers, and anyone else who would like to get involved, to offer support to vulnerable citizens is on Monday, September 23. Its web listing offers both an opportunity to purchase tickets and the chance to find out more about its sponsorship program.
