The RE/MAZ Ballunar Liftoff Festival, a favorite annual weekend event in Houston, is taking place next month.
The tribute is a unique reference to human flight incorporating ascension of a hot air balloon into the technology and vision of a modern flight into space.
The festival offers many activities, including hot air balloon competitions, skydiving displays, and evening balloon glows. The various exhibits found at this high-energy event include concession booths, arts and crafts, restaurant food tastings, and aviation equipment.
Many of the vendors will no doubt utilize services provided by local Print companies to prepare Banners for their exhibit space. Any color or theme combinations can be printed onto Banners, or vinyl lettering can be used if preferred.
The Ballunar Liftoff Festival organization has a mission to education the public on aviation and the exploration of space. It also sponsors educational activities and provides resources for young people as they learn about math and the sciences.
The Ballunar Liftoff Festival began 10 years ago for the purpose of commemorating the 200th anniversary of the first flight manned in France. It has grown to be one of largest such events in the United States. RE/MAX offered the financial support needed to get the festival off the ground.
The festival will take place September 28 to 30 at the NASA/Johnson Space Center. More information can be found on the event website.
