The 8th annual East End Street Festival is happening near the end of this month in Houston.
A presentation of the East End Improvement Corporation, the festival will feature two stages. One will be the Heritage Stage that will have local and international folk and cultural acts such as the Corporales San Simon Bolivian Dance Troup and the Free Radicals drum band. The other is set to have musical entertainers such as Grupo Fantasme, Joel Guzman, and Sara Fox. Cristina Amaro will also be performing a tribute to the "Queen of Tejano."
There will be a kids' zone that will have rock climbing, moon walks, pony rides, and lots of other fun activities. Other zones at the festival that will be set up will be the Safety Zone and the Cool Zone, where people can enjoy air conditioning. In addition, there will be a parade and approximately 60 vendors selling their handmade arts and crafts. Food and drink will be available for purchase during the day.
