Houston kids enjoy nature-based fun

The Houston chapter of the Audubon Society has two offerings available for kids on their summer break, and they will both help them learn more about the natural world.

The dates for the Edith Moore Camps 2026 schedule have been scheduled, and they are geared at specific age sets. The campers must be the correct age on the day their camp starts, and the registration fee for each is $350.

The schedule opens in June with the Bird Buddies Camp, which will introduce a variety of Texas species. The campers will hone their observational skills, and there will be lots of hands on fun. This is for kids from the ages of 6 to 8.

Dubbed Pond Explorer’s Camp, the second session will be for youngsters between 9 and 12. It will explore the creatures that call local ponds home, and dip netting, nature hikes and games are just some of the fun in the works.

Whether they are day or “sleep-away style”, summer camps can be a lot of fun for the kids that take part. Tee shirts for campers, as well as uniforms for staff and volunteers, can be prepared for an activity by area Print shops along with registration Forms, Letterheads and other custom Stationery.

The Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary will be the venue for both of these summer options. Bird Buddies starts on June 8th, while Pond Explorers is set to begin on June 22nd.
