A Houston venue will be rolling out the welcome mat for an activity that will bring kids and law enforcement together for a day filled with fun.
Hosted in early August, the 2nd annual Kids and Cops Field Day will be on offer, free of charge, for members of the local community. It is being presented courtesy of The Royal Kings, and its organizers hope to make a big impact.
The families that stop by can pick up school supplies, for as long as they last, so they can return to classes with the items they need. There will be a resource fair set up, and many different community service groups, health and wellness vendors and outreach programs will be represented. Local leaders, motivational speakers and entertainers will address the crowd, and the kids can enjoy the field day style games. There will be food and beverage stations in the mix, and a goal of raising $25,000 has been set.
As with many grassroots events, the planners are counting on the generosity of the area’s business community. Event planners may choose to put together event information packages to distribute to potential supporters that showcase how their assistance will make an impact, and a brochure printing company will be happy to help by supplying materials to include.
The 2026 installment of Kids and Cops Field Day will be a summer day filled with fun scheduled for August 1st. It will be on offer at 12922 Cutten Road.
