The Back 2 School Weekend celebration is taking place next month in Houston for two days.
The event promises to have plenty of activities taking place that should appeal to the entire family.
On the first day of the event, the Texas Children’s Hospital will be providing free immunizations and vaccinations for children under the age of 18 who are not insured or on Medicare. These will be given between the hours of 1:00 and 3:00 pm. There will also be free haircuts for children under 18.
A number of local vendors will be exhibiting their products and/or services and various community organizations will be providing information about local resources and programs for school-aged children. These vendors will also be handing out a variety of freebies and samples.
Free pizza is availavle, and music is provided by a DJ. In addition, there will be several water inflatables for children to play on.
The second day will feature a giveaway of Backpacks and school supplies to children from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 6.
