Upcoming event marks traditional start of summer

The 6th annual Rockin' Rollin' Prints steamroller Print event is taking place next month in Houston. It is presented by PrintMatters Houston.

The theme of this year's event is "under pressure". Participants are asked to bring an oversized carved block with them to Print from, and all other tools will be provided. The block will then be printed on paper using a two-ton steamroller as a press. The finished works will be put on display and the best of them will be chosen by Sally Sprout for a summer exhibition at the William Tower. All of the works will also be available for purchase. After the art has been created, guests will enjoy beer and music.

This event is traditionally seen as a kick-off to the Print Houston Festival. The festival runs through the summer and features exhibitions, lectures, and workshops.

No doubt many art, graphic design, and printing professionals from the Houston area may want to participate in this event. It will give them an opportunity to see what others are doing in the industry.

The Rockin' Rollin' Prints event will be held at the Saint Arnold Brewing Company on April 24 from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Admission is free of charge. To learn more about this event, or about the Print Houston Festival, visit the official PrintMatters Houston website.
