Summit helps artists handle the future

The 2nd annual Fresh Arts Summit will be taking place in Houston for two days in June.

Over 200 artists will be participating over the Friday and Saturday. There will be more than 20 interactive workshops to take part in, along with lectures, artist panel discussions and networking opportunities. A keynote speech will be delivered and there will be social receptions. Some of the topics of discussion will be marketing, self-care, legal issues and finances. Attendees will also learn about local resources.

The festival is open to artists of all kinds, including musicians, actors, visual artists, and other creatives.

Last year's festival was successful and attracted such participants as Yiery Guevara of Houston Arts Alliance and Ashley Small from Medley, Inc. No doubt this year's summit will attract similarly successful creatives.

Events like this are important in the artistic community and attract plenty of participants; last year's inaugural summit attracted over 200 attendees. To spread the word, Houston flyer printing companies are often asked to provide advertising that can be easily and cheaply distributed.

The summit will be held at Silver Street Studios on June 19 and 20. Call 713-868-1839 to find out what this year's fees are and for more information.
