Paying a visit to Santa is a popular tradition for many Houston families, but one of his appearances in the city this year will have a special twist.
The Lone Star Flight Museum will be welcoming the special guest to kick off the holiday season, and he will be arriving at the venue in style. Santa will be forgoing his usual reindeer and flying into the location in a PT-17 Stearman historic plane, and there are two dates scheduled.
After Santa has landed his plane, he will greet the kids and spend some time visiting with the families. Mrs. Claus will also be in attendance, and she will read a story to the kids and guide them through making a holiday craft. The function is free for members, and is included in the admission fee for non-members. On the first day, members will also be given a VIP treatment. Non-members can sign up on the day if they wish.
A special festive activity can add an extra touch of whimsy to the season, and Print shops have ways to help make it feel even more magical. They will be able to supply banner printing and other services, which are available at a variety of price points.
The Stearman Santa program will be on offer at the Lone Star Aviation Museum on December 11 and 18, both of which are Saturdays. Anyone who has questions can contact the organizers through the museum’s website.
