The 46th Bayou City Art Festival is taking place in Houston for three days next month, presented by the Art Colony Association, Inc.
The festival is a juried one that is set to feature over 300 artists from around the world. They will be displaying and selling a wide variety of handmade items including clay sculptures, digital art, glass, jewelry, prints and even furniture, among 19 genres in total. This year’s featured artist is Amanda Bennet whose discipline is mixed media.
Visitors will also have the chance to sample international foods and wine while they listen to musical entertainment. The Green Mountain Energy Creative Zone will have interactive art activities for people of all ages.
The festival donates proceeds to local nonprofit organizations. To date it has raised approximately $2.6m.
It is likely that some of the artists who plan to participate in the Houston show will be investing in postcard printing services.
The Bayou City Art Festival will be held at Memorial Park from March 24 to 26 from 10:00 to 6:00 pm each day. Tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for children between the age of 6 and 12, and $30 for a family pass. A two-day adult pass is $20 and shuttle tickets are $3.
