Houston plans harvest celebration

A Houston not-for-profit group that believes everyone should have access to healthy food is getting ready for an event that will wrap up the harvest season later this year.

Early November will see Urban Harvest host its annual Sunday Supper, which will be a celebration of the area’s culinary community, its farms, and other agricultural operations. Admission will be ticketed, and there are various sponsorship opportunities available as well.

A variety of chefs from the city will be utilizing their talents to prepare the meal for this special occasion, and the food will be served in a family-style session made up of several courses. Area ranchers and farmers will be providing many of the ingredients that will be used in preparing the fare for the guests, and the monies raised will support an assortment of horticulturally based learning opportunities in the local area.

The organizer of a gathering like this may find the services of area Print shops to be quite helpful. Such businesses can provide everything from banner printing to personalized VIP Invitations for any special guests.

The Urban Harvest Sunday Supper is scheduled to welcome diners on November 5th. The venue for the evening can be found at 3503 West Dallas Street, and details about tickets and the event’s sponsorship options can be found on the Urban Harvest website.
