Houston museum helps visitors create perfect travel companion

The Printing Museum in Houston, Texas will be hosting a workshop in January teaching attendees how to create personalized travel Journals.

Everyone who participates in the class will create a set of travel Journals that encompass four different formats. The workshop will teach those involved how to make items such as a case-bound pocket portfolio and a pamphlet stick notebook. There will even be lessons for how to form a holder for Business Cards out of roadmaps.

Lee Steiner is the organizer for this event and will be helping participants with creating their travel Journals. Steiner owns an art studio and has been assisting others to learn different book arts and hand papermaking for over 12 years.

This event will be held on January 26th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. People are welcome to register regardless of their age or experience in book arts. The cost will be $120 per person, which will include materials for the workshop. However, anyone interested in personalizing their projects can bring their maps and Stationery. For anybody wanting to visit the Printing Museum, the price of general admission is $5, while the cost of attending the guided tour is $10.

Tickets are available to purchase from the Printing Museum’s website. Any additional questions people have can be answered by calling their phone number directly at 713-522-4652.
