The 26th annual Texas Championship Pow Wow will be held at Traders’ Village in Houston during its two-day Native American Pow Wow event. Hundreds of Native Americans, representing tribes from all over the country, will be at the event to bring this celebration to life.
The event will feature the Culture and Heritage of these tribes and, as part of the weekend of festivities, the tribes will be performing dances in their heritage clothing while dancing to the beat of the drums. Attendees will be able to watch as dance teams of all ages, from toddlers to grandparents, compete for the prize money in 18 different dance categories.
There will also be special entertainment in the mornings as well as Native American artists and traders from all over the country who will be displaying their talents. These exhibitors will be able to promote their skills and display their arts and crafts during the event. Attendees should obtain Flyers, Brochures, and Promotional Products from the vendors at the event for any future holiday shopping needs.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy the authentic foods, such as the Indian tacos and fry bread that will be provided by the vendors.
The event will take place on Saturday, November 14, and Sunday, November 15 at Traders’ Village. Dance competitions will take place from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm both days. The arts and crafts sale will be open from 10:00 am to sundown both days. Admission is free for this event but there is a $4 per vehicle fee for parking.
