Houston holds 2nd annual crawfish celebration
Houston’s crawfish fans will be able to do some taste testing when they attend a local festival that will see seafood cooks go head to head.
The annual Crawfish Cookoff planned by Phil’s Crawfish, will offer teams the chance to showcase their favorite boil recipes to the city. Each will offer a unique creation, and the family-friendly function is open to all ages.
Attendees can fill up their plates with the shellfish and other fare, and this will be joined by active fun such as pickleball and volleyball. The kids can try out the bouncy houses, and the landlubbers can pay a visit to the other food vendors that will be setting up shop. There are adult and kids crawfish wristbands as well as ones for those who would prefer other food, and discounted, presale tickets will be available until May 9th.
A culinary event may call for custom designed drinkware, napkins and other materials. They can all be ordered from a printing services company, which will also be happy to craft an event logo design.
This afternoon of seafood and other festive fun will kick off at 1:00 pm on May 10th. Powder Keg, which can be found at 1300 Brittmoore Road, Houston, is pleased to serve as the venue for the day. Everyone will need to have a wristband on to enter.
