The River Oaks Garden Club has cordially invited one and all to attend what’s billed as being Houston’s oldest rummage sale.
The club is eased to bring back its annual Pink Elephant Sale, and it will be marking its 71st year. It can be a fun way to score some thrifty finds, and it will be open to the public for two days.
The activity is scheduled for The Bayou City Events Center, and there will be lots of bargains to be had. Everything from designer clothing and shoes to antiques will be on offer, and the popular Plant Booth will be back. Where, the attendees can shop for plants supplied by Bayou Bend Gardens and other local nurseries as well as gardens. A bric-a-brac area will be set up, and both days are scheduled to open to shoppers at 9:00 am.
Pop up style markets have become a popular fundraising choice for a not for profit groups, and they often call on the public seeking donations of gently used items to sell. A poster printing company can help get the word out to the public including how, when and where they can get involved.
The 71st annual Pink Elephant Sale will be giving Houston bargain hunters lots of reasons to smile on September 19th and 20th. The venue can be found at 9401 Knight Road.
