Houston class teaches paella perfection
Paella, which has become increasingly popular in recent years, is a dish that hails from Spain, and a Houston workshop will introduce the ins and outs of preparing it.
Central Market Houston is offering seats in its” The Spanish Kitchen: Paella Valenciana” cookery class, which is scheduled to begin in the morning. Those who are age 21 and up will be able to sip on a glass of Spanish wine while they work, and the session is limited to those 18 and up.
The participants will learn how to use the rice, meat, tomatoes, artichokes, spaces and herbs to craft a tasty paella Valencianna as well as soffritto, which is slowly cooked onions and tomatoes. They will also prepare and sample a red pepper and eggplant dip, and orange caramel creams will wrap up the meal. A safety waiver must be signed at check in, and everyone is asked to arrive a few minutes early so they can take care of this before they begin.
A cookery class can be a fun way to learn some new kitchen techniques. Cards printed with the recipe used as well as other handouts can be prepared by stationery printers.
This opportunity to learn to prepare perfect paella will be running from 11:00 am until 1:30 pm. The venue is located at 3815 Westheimer Road in Houston.
