Houston cat fans to attend coffee morning

Houston’s feline fanatics will be able to enjoy spending time with some furry friends, and while they do, they will be ensuring that a local rescue and re-homing group can continue its work.

Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP) has scheduled a meet-and-greet coffee morning for early August, held at 17555 Katy Freeway. Admission is free and no advance registration is needed.

Attendees at the function will be able to sip on cup of freshly brewed coffee while they meet the free-roaming adoptable cats and decide whether they would like to take one home with them. This will help them to socialize and become more used to human interaction.

As this function will also be serving as a fundraiser, participants will be offered an opportunity to buy a coffee mug printed with a special CAP graphic design. These will be available for $15 each, and people can stop by and purchase one even if they do not stay for the entire activity.

A causal drop-in activity may be a good fundraising fit for any not-for-profit organization that wants to connect with the public. A brochure printing company can provide informative materials to hand out during an event.

CAP will be hosting this coffee morning meeting for both cats and people on Saturday, August 5. Everyone is welcome to participate.
