Fundraising event goes back to the 20s

The Diamonds and Ice Gala is taking place at the end of the month, and is a major fundraising event for the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce.

The theme of this year's event is the ‘Roaring 20s’ and ‘Gatsby Style’. Guests are encouraged to dress according to the theme, with black tie optional.

Guests will enjoy a sit-down dinner and drinks. Later, there will be silent and live auctions, live entertainment from Cool Freddie and the Crew, dancing, and an awards presentation. Those being honored this year are Judge Lincoln Goodwin and Mrs. Priscilla Goodwin, the Diamond award will be given to Jim Roberston from the Cypress Creek Greenway Coalition.

All of the items for auction have been donated by local business owners, and private citizens. Sponsorships are available from $500 up to $10,000.

There will be plenty of opportunities for networking during the evening, and for exchanging contact information. With that in mind, it is likely that many of those attending will be placing a new business card printing order with their favorite Houston Print company.

The Diamonds and Ice Gala will be held at the Hyatt Regency North Houston on January 30 from 6:30 pm - 11:00 pm. Tickets are $150 each. To find out more about this event, or to become a sponsor, contact the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce at 281-440-4160.
