The Abilities Expo is taking place next month in Houston for three days.
The expo is aimed at people with disabilities, seniors, and their families. It is a showcase of new technologies and products designed to make life easier.
There will be hundreds of vendors on hand representing local companies that provide product for and services to those with ability issues. There will also be an artist market featuring the works of disabled artists.
There will be a number of free workshops on topics such as accessible home design, living with chronic pain, meditation, and accessible travel. Guests can also participate in a wheelchair dance presentation and class. In addition, there will be demonstrations of wheelchair rugby, basketball, and rugby, as well as bocce ball. There will also be a service dog demonstration.
A play area, hosted by the Shriners Hospital for Children, will be set up and will feature activities such as face painting. Parents must accompany their children at all times.
It is likely that some of the vendors will be handing out printed materials that may have been provided by Houston Stationery printers.
The Abilities Expo will be held at NRG Center’s Hall E from August 3 to 5. Admission is free of charge, but registration is recommended. For the most up-to-date information about this event, visit the official event website.
