The Space City Comic Con is coming to Houston this July for three days.
The convention will feature video gaming tournaments, a games expo, panel discussions, vendors and costume contests. Some of the biggest names in science fiction television will be making appearances at this year's event. They include William Shatner and Chad Michael Murray, star of One Tree Hill.
There will be a celebration of the 20th anniversary of Star Trek: Voyager featuring most of the original cast. This includes Kate Mulgrew, Garrett Wang, Tim Russ, Robert Beltran, Robert Picardo and Ethan Phillips, and they will be hosting a question and answer session. There will also be reunions of the cast of Power Rangers Time Force and One Tree Hill.
Attendees can purchase autographs from $25 to $75 and tickets to pose for photographs with their favorite stars; there are also separate opportunities for getting up close and personal with William Shatner, Kate Mulgrew and Chad Michael Murray.
Organizers have likely invested in poster printing services to advertise the convention in the Houston area.
The Space City Comic Con is being held at the NRG Center from July 24 to 26. Three-day passes are $60 for adults and $40 for those between the ages of 11 and 17, a Friday pass is $30 or $20, a gold pass (good for all three days) is $99 and a VIP pass is $200. Visit the event website to learn more.
