The WBEA Business Conference and Matchmaking event ‘Be Epic’ is taking place in Houston this coming week. The event is a presentation of the Women's Business Enterprise Alliance.
This is a two-day event that will bring women from all business fields together with buyers and other business professionals.
The conference will feature several breakout sessions on topics such as funding, technology, and safety. Some of those who will be speaking are Allison Maslan, Dr. Terrance Fontaine from Texas Southern University, and Chari Talamo of Chevron.
There will be a Connecting Awards Luncheon, for which tickets are $95 for WBEA members and $105 for nonmembers. A corporate meet and greet round table, the WBEA pitch competition, and one-on-one sessions between business women and buyers or other women-owned business clients are on the agenda.
The second day of the conference will be dedicated to a business fair, which will take place from 1:30 to 4:00 PM. Exhibition booths are still available for $1,000 and are 10 x 10 feet. Exhibitors will be recognized in the event programs and will receive tickets to the awards luncheon.
This will no doubt attract a lot of female entrepreneurs from all over Houston and the surrounding area. Most of them will probably be bringing along their Business Cards to exchange with their peers.
The Be Epic conference will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center from June 5 to 6. Full conference fees are $250 for WBEA members and $275 for non-members while the one-day fee is $145 for members and $165 for non-members. Visit the WBEA website to learn more.
