The 11th annual Keels and Wheels Uncorked festival is taking place this October in Houston. The day is a fundraiser for the Lighthouse Charity Team and Today's Harbor for Children.
The festival will be filled with food, wine, art, and music. Guests can enjoy tasty appetizers and fine wine from some of the finest restaurants in the city. Those planning to participate include Cut Foil, the Merlon Restaurant, and the Sundance Grill.
There will also be live and silent auctions. Artist Taft McWhorter will be creating a painting live that will be auctioned off, while musical entertainment will be provided by The Guzzlers. Tables of 10 can be purchased for $1,200 up to $2,500, and half-tables are $600.
Like its name, Today's Harbor for Children provides a safe place for children to live temporarily after facing abuse or other problems. The Lighthouse Charity Team prepares food that is donated to local charities and charitible events, and also helps to provide healthy food in the case of a natural or manmade disaster.
Houston Stationery printers are often asked to help spread the word about various charity events taking place in the city.
Uncorked will be held at the Lone Star Flight Museum on October 1 from 6:00 to 11:00 PM. Tickets are $150 each. For more information about this fundraising event, call 731-521-0105.
