The 6th annual Houston Art Fair is taking place for four days beginning next month, and is a presentation of Urban Expositions.
The fair features artworks from over 45 international and local galleries, individual artists, and private dealers. The focus is on contemporary and modern art; it will include such media as paintings, textiles, sculpture, jewelry, and drawings. There will be art exhibitions, installations and special projects. There will also be panel discussions with art experts and other activities.
Opening night will feature two separate receptions. The First Look event, which is for Black Card members, will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Tickets are $100 for two. The Opening Night Preview is set to be held from 8:00 to 10:00 PM, and tickets cost $75 for two. Ticketholders will also have access to the fair all weekend. Both events will raise funds for Fotofest International.
Art enthusiasts and those who work for graphic design firms in Houston are sure to want to attend at least one night of the fair to find out what is current in modern art.
