The 32nd Wings Over Houston air show is taking place for two days next month. A presentation of Commemorative Air Force, the theme of this year’s festival is World War II.
The show is set to feature a wide variety of airplanes on display, including a B-52 bomber and a C-17. There will also be displays of military vehicles, police and fire vehicles, and interactive displays from NASA. Several in-air performances, by groups such as the US Navy Blue Angels, Team Oracle, and the F-16 Demo Team, can be enjoyed by the crowd.
One event that will no doubt be of interest will be a reenactment of the attack on Pearl Harbor, given extra poignance by the fact that this year is the 75th anniversary of that event.
Other activities will include a performance by CAF’s Red Tail Project about the Tuskegee Airmen, aircraft and helicopter rides, the Legends and Hero’s autograph tent, a children’s carnival area, and food and beverage for purchase.
