Weekend events sure to draw the foodies

The city of Houston is hosting two food festivals next month, both taking place during the same weekend.

The first festival is the Houston Grilled Cheese Fest. Local chefs will be creating unique grilled cheese sandwiches to be enjoyed by visitors. There will be two sessions that people will be admitted to, from 12:00 to 3:30 PM and from 4:30 to 8:00 PM.

There are a couple of different ticketing options. VIP or Big Cheese tickets are $85 each and include early access to the festival as well as access to a private lounge. General admission is $49. Both include an open bar and grilled cheese sampling, meaning this is a 21 and over event.

The next day is the 14th International Risotto Festival. Proceeds will be donated to BEAR (Be a Resource for CPS Kids). It will include music, an exotic cars display, a charity auction, and children's activities. Chef Chris Shepherd will be signing Copies of his book ‘Cook Like a Local’. Tickets are $75 for general and $175 for VIP.

Houston flyer printing companies often provide advertising for events such as these.

The Grilled Cheese festival will take place in Midtown Park on November 9. Call 720-500-3409 to learn more.
