The Joe Joe Bear Foundation is holding its first annual charity gala this month in nearby Spring.
The foundation is in memory of Joseph David Ordaz, and it is located in Katy, Texas. It provides teddy bears to children who are facing life-threatening illnesses throughout the Greater Houston and Galveston area. So far, the organization has provided over 30,000 teddy bears to hospitals and hospices. They also provide parents with educational resources and support.
The gala is expected to become an annual event in the Houston area. The requested dress code is formal. Guests will be treated to a three-course meal by Chef Paul Friedman. No doubt they will also learn all about the foundation, and may even hear from past recipients.
There will also be musical entertainment and a dance floor as well as a cash bar. Tickets are $200 each and can be purchased via Eventbrite.
Many Houston area residents will likely be pleased to support such a worthy charity. Local flyer printing companies are often asked to supply advertising to help get the word out about such events.
The charity gala will be held at Raveneaux Country Club in Spring on November 13 from 7:00 to 11:00 PM. For the most current information about this event, contact the Joe Joe Bear Foundation at 281-398-4522.
