Plants add a lot to people’s lives, and a Houston event will celebrate these green friends and the people who love them.
PlantCon is on the way for what will be its third year in the city, and according to the event listing, it will be its biggest installment to date. It will feature several new additions, and at least 200 vendor booths are expected to be on site. The message will be that plant care is always possible and beneficial, whether it is a field of flowers or just a small pot on a windowsill.
The public can visit the booths and displays, shopping and meeting the vendors in person. They can ask questions and gather information, and there will be opportunities to mix and mingle with other area green thumbs. Hands-on workshops, presentations and growing competitions are in the works, and silent auctions, music, an opening reception and other fun will round out the weekend.
