Houston website chooses top restaurants and bars in the city

The Tastemaker Awards gala is taking place next month in Houston, presented by CultureMap Houston and Woodford Reserve.

Proceeds from this event will be donated to Second Servings of Houston. The gala will recognize the top restaurants and bars in Houston. There are nine categories in which awards will be presented, including Restaurant, Rising Star Chef, Favorite Burger, Neighborhood Restaurant, Wine Program, and Brewery of the Year.

Guests at the gala will have to the opportunity to sample food and drink from the winners in each category. There will also be a variety of wine, beer and specialty cocktails available. In addition, a car valet will be available.

VIP tickets are available for $105 in advance and $115 on the day of the event. These tickets include early admission, a private VIP bar, and extended food samples.

Second Servings of Houston is an organization that rescues food that would otherwise be thrown in the garbage. It works with hotels, food distributors, caterers, and others in the food industry so that food gets passed on to organizations that feed those in need.

Houston poster printing firms often provide marketing materials for events like this.

The Tastemaker Awards will be held at the Silver Street Studios on March 27 from 7:00 to 10:00 PM. General admission tickets are $60 in advance or $70 at the door. Visit the CultureMap Houston website to learn more.
