Houston to learn how to use flowers

Whether it is for business reasons or because they just love working with flowers, a series of floral design classes is about to reach out to Houston adult learners.

The American School of Flowers Design will be running an in-person introductory course that will explore the art of flower arranging. Several different styles will be covered, and its listing explained that it is well suited to the beginner

The two days of classes will cover 10 different styles from all over the world, with bridal, Japanese, and European all in the mix. The flowers and containers are included, and those who may be interested in purchasing floral supplies in bulk will learn how to do so. A tour of the flower market is on the agenda for the learners, and everyone will also receive a signed copy of the facilitator’s book to keep. The registration fee starts at $495 each, and it was explained that the learning will be hands-on.

A class focused on a specific hobby may benefit from the use of an assortment of hard copy learning materials. These can be obtained by contacting a local printing services company.

This in-person introduction to the art of floral design will be offered starting on February 20. Oak Forest/Garden Oaks, which can be found at 1313 West 20th Street, will be its location.
