Houston families will soon be offered a sneak peek into the lives of some silent hunters.
The Houston Arboretum and Nature Center has set the date for a family-friendly function that will introduce owls. Tickets for both children and adults have been made available, and a discount is available for arboretum members.
While the registrants sip on a coffee, hot chocolate, or beer provided by Saint Arnold Brewing Company, the participants will be able to meet some of the venue’s owl ambassadors up close and personal. They will learn about their lives and how they play an important role in their ecosystems, and it will then be time to head outdoors for an evening hike led by a naturalist to try and spot these nocturnal predators in the wild. The session is for those aged five and up, and it will run for two hours.
