Houston has an event on its horizon that may make choosing a new outfit a lot more sustainable.
The Beauty Boost has partnered with The Mood Room Garden and Bar to welcome swappers at its Summer Sip and Swap, which will be held in mid-July. While the clothing will be free, a small entry fee is being charged, and early bird passes will be available until June 13.
Ticketholders will each bring any gently used clothing and accessories they no longer need, and there will be tables set out so the items can be sorted by size. It will then be time for them to browse through the other contributions, taking any that catch their interest. Any items left behind at the end will be donated to a local charity.
The dress code for the day is super casual, and in keeping with this relaxed approach, there will be lots of time to mix and mingle.
Clothing swaps provide an economical and sustainable way for the public to fill their closets and feel good about doing so. A flyer printing company can prepare marketing materials that may be recycled, making them an environmentally friendly option.
The Mood Room Garden and Bar will be welcoming this opportunity on Sunday, July 13. The fun will begin at 2:00 pm.
