A program that supports women warriors after they have hung up their combat boots for the last time will be one of the charities of choice for a Houston evening of food, friends and fundraising.
The annual Boots and Heroes celebration will be welcoming guests for its 6th year, and VFW post 8790 will be the venue for the festivities. Both members of the area's military community and the general public are on the guest list, and a sponsorship program is in place.
The function will be a ”carnivore friendly” occasion, with everyone treated to a steak dinner. Live music will have the guests on their feet dancing, and a silent auction and raffle will add even more fun. Along with Camp Shield, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to VFW Post 8790 and its Auxiliary, and it promises to offer lots of fun memories to look back on.
To help ensure the evening meets its fundraising goals, a sponsorship program is in place , and there are several levels to choose from. These begin at the Table decoration level and go up to the Boots and Heroes event sponsor tier. The contribution of Corporate Gifts for the silent auction and draw will also be appreciated.
