Houston conference will foster OCD understanding

The Fall OCD Conference is taking place this October in Houston. It is a presentation of the Peace of Mind Foundation.

The theme of the conference is "Education, Motivation and ERP in inaction." It is set to feature expert speakers on the topic of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. Among those speaking at this year's event are Chad Brandt, Angela Smith, Jonathan Grayson and Dr. Michael Jenike. Topics of discussion will include OCD treatments, therapies and medications that help.

There will also be networking breaks and a luncheon. Sponsors will be able to host an exhibit table to showcase their products and/or services related to OCD. Sponsors will also have their logo printed on Flyers and other advertising materials. The cost of sponsorship is from $250 to $2,500.

Fees for the conference are $75 for professionals and students; it will go up to $100 after August 15. Admission is free to OCD individuals and their families; if they want lunch they must pay $20. PD credits are available for CEUs (Continuing Education Units).

Houston Stationery printers often provide Flyers for events like this to help spread the word.

The conference will be held at St. Martin's Episcopal Church's Bagby Parish Hall on October 9 from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM. To find out more about this event or how to become a sponsor, call 832-474-1327.
