The Original Martin Luther King Day Parade will be held in Houston, Texas during January next month.
The Black Heritage Society, who will be overseeing the festivities, hopes to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s legacy by using this annual event to bring the city together with a parade and community activities planned throughout the weekend.
The parade will start in Downtown Houston at Minute Maid Park, taking place from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on January 21st. The event will be free and open to the public, welcoming both city residents and visitors to attend and pay homage to the history of the community.
Taking part in the 41st annual Martin Luther King Day Parade is the perfect opportunity for organizations to bring awareness to different groups and clubs advocating for equality throughout Houston. Participants are encouraged to utilize banner printing to display their names or any messages they wish to bring to the community during the parade.
For any groups or clubs that are interested in marching in the parade, the Black Heritage Society is accepting registrations on their website. All groups that participate are required to pay a fee that covers up to 30 motor vehicles or motorcycles. Organizations will be charged additional fees for any groups that have more than 30 vehicles.
