For one day in March, Houston will be paying a culinary visit to Louisiana with a celebration of food that has become a tradition in Creole country.
Cajun and Creole cuisine takes influence from a variety of sources, with some coming as far back as the Acadian expulsion from what would later become eastern Canada. A variety of eateries, both brick and mortar rand mobile, will be participating in the Bayou City Cook Off, and everyone's welcome to stop by and experience their creations in person.
The festival will feature food from both Louisiana and Texas, and there will be offerings for the whole family. Live music will keep the crowd entertained, and the dishes that will be served include gumbo, crawfish and lots of other fare. The event is scheduled to run for nine hours, and will be held at the Power Center Festival Grounds. The lineup of performers will be released at a later date.
A food festival offers a way to bring a community together in a spirit of fun. A banner printing company can supply a wide selection of decor options, and its custom Graphic Design Services may also prove useful to event organizers.
