Asia Fest 2019 is taking place in Houston next month. It is hosted by the Asia Society Texas.
The festival is held each year as an observation of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month in the United States. It will feature a wide variety of traditional foods, cultural performances of music and dance, and lots of family-friendly activities. Among the local groups confirmed to perform at this year's festival are Dance of Asian America, the Filipino Young Professionals, Legend of Taiwan, and the North America Youth Chinese Orchestra. It is likely that many of the performers will be wearing traditional costumes while they perform.
Food will be available for purchase by concession vendors and several food trucks.
At an international bazaar, visitors can purchase Asian-related products as well as handmade arts and crafts such as jewelry, ceramics, paintings and clothing. In addition, there will be demonstrations by local community groups throughout the day.
Organizers are still looking for volunteers to help ensure the event runs smoothly, and Houston brochure printing companies frequently play their part by providing programs for events like this one.
