Scholarship fundraiser makes its return
This year’s Dream Big Scholarship Bash marks the comeback of the annual scholarship fundraiser, which has not been held since the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year's theme is “Bubbles & Bowties.” The event will offer attendees an opportunity to enjoy an elegant yet lively gathering while funding a scholarship program for Southeast Nashville public schools’ minority students. The evening will include a chance to meet and interact with Empower University scholars, followed by music, entertainment, and a silent auction.
The first part of the event will focus on engagement between guests and scholarship recipients, allowing students to share their plans for the future. This portion of the evening is intended to highlight the impact of the scholarship program and provide attendees with a direct connection to the students benefiting from their support.
Following these conversations, the event will transition into a social gathering featuring brunch-style refreshments and entertainment. The silent auction will offer a variety of items, with all proceeds contributing to the scholarship fund.
Funds raised through sponsorships and donations will be used to provide financial assistance for students seeking higher education opportunities. eMpowerment, Inc. aims to support and empower young people in the community by alleviating some of the financial barriers to college and career advancement. Students are usually happy to receive promotional pens at this sort of event.
