What's Happening in Murfreesboro, TN…

High-flying fundraiser awaits in Murfreesboro

Nature lovers looking for a memorable way to support a good cause will want to make a note in their journals, as a memorial butterfly release is coming to Murfreesboro.

The Alive Memorial Butterfly Release, organized by Alive, has opened registration to interested parties online for an opportunity to purchase and release butterflies to raise money for a good cause. The release is designed to allow participants to remember loved ones, with the butterflies acting as symbols of hope, love, and the renewal of the spring season.

Before participating in the event's memorial program, participants will arrive and be treated to refreshments. The program will be followed by a walk of remembrance in the host venue’s courtyard before transitioning into the mass butterfly release. Flyer printing is a fantastic grassroots method to promote such events and generate excitement around the town.

Guests will also have several crafts and activities at the butterfly release. Grief counselors will lead free crafting activities to help children make keepsakes to remember the event and their loved ones. Children who wear butterfly-themed clothing or a costume will also receive a special gift.

The memorial event will be held on Saturday, May 17, at the Alive Hospice Murfreesboro Office and Residence. Check-in will start at 1:00 PM, and the event will end at 2:30 PM. Tickets are $18.91 per person online.
