Thanks to an upcoming workshop, gardening is about to get a lot more sustainable for the home horticulturalists who reside in the city and the areas that surround it.
A content and production specialist from Tyler Arboretum will be sharing their knowledge with the registrants in the “Ecological Gardening The Basics” class. Both members and non-members may participate, and it may be helpful to both green thumbs and newbie planters alike.
During the session, attendees will be taught how they can work with nature to achieve a beautiful home landscape that is also beneficial to wildlife and native plants. Improving depleted soils conserving water, composting, and the importance of creating habitat for pollinators and other wildlife will all be discussed. The goal is to show local residents how, even if they cannot change the entire world, they may still be able to make a difference in their own backyard.
When planning a class intended to raise awareness about a topic, it may be a good idea to work with area Print shops. They can supply everything from recyclable handouts to small gardener's cheat sheets filled with helpful tips, paired with promotional Pens for making notes.
Those who would like to discover how easy it can be to have a sustainable garden can join in this activity on December 7. It will begin at 4:00 pm at Morris Arboretum in Philadelphia.
