Exhibit about a local legend continues

The exhibition ‘From Philadelphia to Monaco: Grace Kelley Beyond the Icon’ started showing at the James A. Michener Art Museum this month and will continue into the new year. It has been produced by the Grimaldi Forum Monaco and the McCord Museum.

Grace Kelly was born in the Philadelphia area, became an Oscar-winning actress, and then gave it away to marry the Prince of Monaco. This exhibition features costumes worn by the actress, formal gowns, personal letters, photographs, play bills, and other memorabilia. It also touches on her role of United Nations Ambassador and her fashion sense. There will be clips from films such as ‘High Society’ and ‘The Country Girl’, for which she won the Oscar.

To coincide with this exhibit, the Bucks County Playhouse, where she began her acting career, is also presenting one of their own.

Visitors from all over the Philadelphia area and beyond will want to catch this exhibition. Poster printing companies might have been asked to provide items that would help let the community know about this unique exhibition.

‘From Philadelphia to Monaco’ will be showing at the James A. Michener Art Museum until January 26, 2015. Admission is $18, $17, for seniors and students and $8 for children from 6 to 18 years of age. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday. Call 215-340-9800 to find out more about this exhibition.
