An opportunity to enjoy immersion in nature is coming up in Gibsonia this autumn, with participants getting to birdwatch from the comfort of a kayak.
The Owl Prowl Birdwatching Kayak Tour, which is being sponsored by L.L. Bean, has opened registration ahead of the October outdoor adventure, and residents with a love for nature are invited to reserve their spots. Guides and experts from the National Aviary’s Ornithology and Education segments will lead the experience.
Guests will explore the host site on foot and via kayak for an evening of searching for owls in the wild. The experience will take participants out on the water first to observe owls during a twilight tour. This part of the adventure will center on watching the owls roost. Printing services can help design and Print informative documents that organizers can give to tour participants to add to their learning experience.
After the roost, the tour will shift to an on-land trek of nearby trails to seek and listen to great horned owls, barred owls, eastern screech owls, and other native species. All equipment is provided, and no experience is necessary.
North Park Lake in Gibsonia is hosting the birdwatching tour, which will begin at 5:30 pm on Sunday, October 11. All participants must be eight years old or older. Tickets can be purchased online for $75 per person.
