Gardening brings Gibsonia together

An annual gardening event is set to return to the Gibsonia area next month, providing an opportunity for resident gardeners and green thumbs to work together and share knowledge.

The Garden in the Park gathering has announced the official date for this year’s event, allowing interested parties the chance to build the community event into their summer plans. It is one of the most anticipated summer events for the community, and interested parties will get to meet with several experienced gardeners by attending.

In addition to master gardeners, environmental groups and horticulturists are expected to attend. It will be a setting where residents who wish to learn more and expand their gardening efforts will have access to vast amounts of information. Attendees are encouraged to bring their gardening questions to get the answers they seek. Poster printing is a cost-effective way to promote events like this through grassroots impressions within the community.

Several short educational programs have also been organized to enhance the learning experience. Guests are encouraged to tour the garden area within the park, and to vote for their favorite plants within the Demo Garden. Ice cream will be available through the Penn State Creamery.

North Park in nearby Allison Park will be hosting this year’s Garden in the Park gathering on Saturday, July 25th, at 9:00 AM. Admission is free and open to the public.
