Online Doylestown workshop to help welcome baby

A Doylestown learning opportunity will help new parents hit the ground running.

A two-part series of learning opportunities has been organized that will be focused on new-born and infant care. Nurse educators will share tips, advice, and other information, and since it will be on offer online, the registrants will be able to take part from the comfort of their own home.

These workshops will discuss a variety of topics. Newborn feeding and safety will be covered as will how to comfort and console a fussy baby. Safety is also on the agenda, and to help prepare new parents for the adjustments they may have to make to accommodate the newest member of the family, there will also be frank discussion of the emotional aspects of infant care.

This learning opportunity is being presented to the community thanks to the efforts of Doylestown Health, and both sessions will run from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm. Offering New Baby kits that can be distributed to the registrants will provide new moms and dads with even more chances to learn, and items for these can be prepared by area Print shops.

The “Parenting and the Newborn” series will be held on April 7 and 14. Registration is free of charge, and a link to sign up can be found on its online event listing.
